I just never experienced a day like yesterday before in my life. The doctor was right, he said that I have a fabulous support group that are helping me through this and he is so right. I swear the presents, cards, flowers didn't stop flowing until 8 last night when we stopped to eat dinner which we got from Gourmet Station from our family.
My best present was my visit to the doctor. He was so positive. He said I will go to a Dr. Miller for radiation. He is cutting edge, head of the department and really on top of things. He thinks I will really like him, so I have an appointment set up for Jan. 2, for a three hour review and all kinds of x-rays to set up the radiation, then I go on to have my PET scan. So, I will start my radiation and continue with my shots of Herceptin.
I told Dr. Diaz I was afraid my PET scan would light up like a Christmas tree and he said, "No, that is not what he is intending. He said I am doing great, I have handled everything well, I won't light up the PET scan, I will love Dr. Miller and that is what he has planned. He said stop worrying and thing positive. He feels I have been positive throughout this whole thing, and I have such great friends helping me too. Just sit back and enjoy the holidays!"
So, yesterday was a great day. I won't go into all of my presents and cards and such as I will leave someone out, just know that I was overcome with all of it. You all are very dear to me and to just see you smiling faces and hear your voices on the phone, I was really overwhelmed. Josh and Kip came by later and brought some loot and went through all my stuff, Kip took pictures of everything. So, now we just get ready for my family to come. I can't wait.
Tomorrow is Josh's birthday and Dina and John and I got him a Sirius radio. He loves it. He can play his Ipod through it. So, we are going out tonight for dinner to celebrate. I love that boy so much, he sent me the most beautiful card. Well, my thanks and love to all of you. I heard from so many of you and I appreciate the time you spent on me. Know that we are having one big party when this is all over. Love me
