Happy Halloween Night!

Too funny...Jayne...she's on a bus, headed downtown, lol!  I was going to pick her up at Clearwater Beach when I got home but she got bored and hopped a bus instead and is calling me on the way here!  She'll be dropped off at Williams Park which is about 5 minutes from my house so I'll pick her up there when she calls again.  It's about 2 blocks from Whimsodoodle so I'm sure we'll have to go there first!  Too funny- the bus!  She said, "hey, I got it (bus pass) for only $4.00!!"   

Tonight we'll head over to Barb's house to watch the kiddies and eat some food and drink some sangria.  I'm anxious for Barb and Jayne to meet too!  Fun Halloween!

It's Friday...

and man am I tired for some reason...didn't wake up until the alarm went off and then thought it was the weekend....oh well, glad it's Friday!

It's not cold this morning and no heat thank goodness...just very pleasant....so glad...off to read the news and get ready for the day.

Work in progress...my little maya road house that will be a bank....somehow I've misplaced my cute little chimney but I need to finish it.....I worked on this last weekend too and loved these new papers by Making Memories!
It just makes me smile when I look at it.

Well I'm down to the last 5-6 questions on the survey and they are the tough ones with numbers...it's giving me a headache doing this damn thing and it's not like the State is giving us tech monies for doing it...grrrr

I'm off to Target tonight to pick up some coffee and need to run by Publix too.  Tomorrow, after work, I'll run home and let the dogs out and feed them and then leave for Clearwater Beach to pick up Jayne.  We'll head over to Barbara's in the evening for some good food, Sangria and to watch the trick or treaters as they always have a bunch.

Our temps are leveling out and it's 71 now and feels wonderful...the iguana was so happy and came out from under his newspapers for a sun bath.

So glad tomorrow is Friday!!!!

Mornin'....

well congrats to you Phillies fans- it just wasn't meant to be for us this year.  I'm still so darn proud of them for getting that far.  At least they get to come home to our nice weather now! 
It's not as cold as yesterday but I still put the heat on for a few minutes as it's in the 50's.  It's suppose to warm up by this weekend though and be back to "normal"...

I headed to bed around 10 last night but am surprisingly not that tired this morning like usual.  Must be the brisk temps!

Off to read the news and get ready for my day!

Another chilly eve...

Now I hear it'll be back up in the 80's by this weekend but right now, low 70's for a high and 50's around here, or high 40's, at night.  I truly don't know how people live in cold climates for so many months.  I would be in the worse mood.  It's fun for a day or two and then, not fun.  At least even if it's cold here we have plenty of sunshine so that makes up for it. 
I hear that the game is back on for this evening.  I sure hope so and I hope the Rays pull it out.
You have to see what I sent my friend, Gail, who lives in Vermont....it's a magnetic Obama with various clothes and things so you can change around his outfits while he's on your refrigerator, lol!   I saw it on Facebook and knew I had to get it for her as she's been a devout supporter of him from the get go.  Too funny!  She got it last weekend and said they're having fun changing his clothes everyday!  Several years ago she sent me this George Bush doll that you can whack and generally take your frustrations out on....he's been through the mill trust me...lol!

You have to see this "stuff" too....this was Jules, Jill and my STUFF for the crop last weekend...Can you say "too much"!!  Thank Goodness, Ga and Sonia come with a trailer for us all and it is always packed to the gills...

You can see Sonia trying to push more in..now you can also see why some of my stuff traveled south for 2 hours as we couldn't/didn't see it in the dark when we got home!

Have to show you my new camera too which I love- thanks Stacey!!  It's all paid for now and mine too.

Today I worked on that damn survey again and really have to finish it up tomorrow...really....I'll be so glad when it's over.....now I need to run to Target as I'm almost out of my coffee...can't have that!   Catch U later!

ohhhh doggies....

it's chilly down here, 54 degrees which has to be a record for October I think.  We'll enjoy it while it lasts.  I even put the heat on again so you know I'm chilly as I hate heating.  Course, wouldn't you know that the one cold spell we get, I'd have outside car duty all week!

Okay, need to get these old bones movin'...plus Max just pulled my clothes for school today, out on the living room floor!   Later!

Who sent us this weather?

Man, I don't remember it ever being so chilly in October before...I actually turned on the heat for about 10 minutes as it was in the 60's in the house, lol!
I just covered the iguana cage with his winter visquine and heat lamp so he'll be toasty tonight too.  I was thinking that Max, being only 15 or so lbs. would be the type to get cold but not my wild dog!!  He's running around like always and doesn't seem fazed by the weather.  Mudgy has so much hair he could be in snow and not care.

So because of Philly's LOUSY weather, the game has been postponed to tomorrow night...poor guys having to wait.  I'm still just so proud of the Rays for getting to the Series and win or lose, I'm happy.  'Course, I might be a tad happier if they won, lol!

Linda made these cute cupcakes to look like pumpkins..the frosting was so yummy.

We had these delish hot dogs one lunch and I had a tad bit of mustard to go with mine since the top popped off when I squeezed the bottle!  We also had loaded baked potatoes with them.

I loved these "monster teeth" made of apples, peanut butter and candy corn!

We also had delicious meat ball subs and chili to die for...Linda takes care of us real well...breakfast was pancakes and eggs! 

We came in one morning and had this darling jar with goodies in it and Halloween stamps by our place!

The Mask Contest was so great!  People did such a wonderful job on them.  Here's 3 of them with the winning one in the middle which was Sarasota Michelle's.  She had earrings on him that lit up!

I loved Elle's with the nose!

This cat one was terrific too!

Mine was called CandyMan!  Not eatable though as I had  a coating over the whole thing.

I might do a collage of just the masks, later this week.
Here's one of the things I worked on...my Tim Holtz tin with the album inside of it.
Here's the back of it.  I used his tiles and put paper behind them and glued each one on after putting alcohol ink on the tin first.

Here's the front of it and you can see part of the album through the see through window.  Still working on the album but I'll show that when I finish.

So it was one terrific weekend up in the woods again with the Hilltop girls!

This coming weekend will be another fun one as Jayne is coming to town for a meeting and staying here with me.  We're all getting together Saturday up at RubanRouge and going to lunch and then coming back here to crop.  Can't wait to see her!
Gerri Anne, owner of KNK,  had her huge CHA order of Tim Holtz with her this weekend and I picked up 3 of his new things.  I was good as there were probably 15 different items.  It's hard to pass up TH!  I worked on my DT project for this next month also and will show you that later.  Love, love it!

Okay, enough blabbering from me...need to go put some dinner on as I'm getting hungry.  Hope you had a terrific day today!

'Mornin

It's a chilly one here this morning!  I even had to shut the windows, it got so chilly and that's saying a lot for me who's always hot.
I feel much better today after a good night sleep.  Sorry to see the baseball game was suspended due to lousy weather again up there.

Busy day at work today plus the good ole cross walk duty, lol!  See you later!

Monday afternoon...

Man, I feel better after a nap and some headache pills...came home around noon as I couldn't read the computer screen at work!  Had way too much fun this weekend.  Just put the pics up on Snapfish for the group but will share some here.
First off, here's two of Cathie's photos...you know the girl we were all collecting money for so she could take a camera class and it turns out she took great photos, lol!!  Way to go Cath!
This was one with us holding up our altered masks we got from Linda for the contest and here we are without them...I was in the back for the second one due to GBU....lol!

I have to say that Linda, our fearless leader, is the only woman I know that can sleep on a tile floor on a busted blow up bed, wake up after 4 hours sleep and have the bed totally deflated, and still be in a good mood!!!
We had 8 of us in our cabin- 3 of us had blow ups, 3 were on futons and two on a bed.  It worked out great and my only complaint was the sing alongs were a little slow because one member didn't know the words to "Michael, row your boat ashore", lol!
We didn't get a lot of sleep but no one complained about that.  It was definitely after midnight for all of us and some didn't go to bed until after the Rays game ended close to 2am on Saturday.  Thank goodness, Mary-Mary got her radio going so we could listen to that, sad that it was.

Linda, Elle, Michele and kathy outdid themselves again taking care of us all...food was delicious as always, weather was terrific, scenery was beautiful- we all saw several deer one night.  There were so many surprises and gifts, prizes- you name it, they had it.  No one can do a crop better or work harder and we all don't know how Hilltop keeps doing it again and again.

I got a lot done too, worked on my pet album and case, a new mini album for KNK, made a cute house/bank....it was great!

The fact that my make up and clothes are down in Ft. Myers doesn't matter as it was all good.  The ride up and back with Gerri Anne and Sophia was memorable as always and we love her for doing all the driving- you're da bomb GA!
