Tax day for me...

On the agenda, getting all my tax info together to get over to the accountant.  She needs it by Thursday, at the latest.  Looks to be a little overcast so maybe we'll get some rain today, I hope so.
I was up very late last night reading this book Linda gave me which is very good so a little blurry eyed right now but who cares- I'm on Spring Break!

Home, Home again...

Lucyyyyyyyyy, I'm home!  Here's my fabulous friend, Barb, from Ft. Myers, all dressed up as Lucy Saturday night.  She had us in stitches!  There were quite a few who dressed up for the contest and they were all winners in my book... They sure had us laughing, especially Jayne, in the leather coat.  She was really playing her role up and had captured Kelcey as her "gal"! She was the only one dressed up as a guy of the 50's and she did great.  She borrowed her husband's jacket and had her fake ciggy too. 
Gerri Anne's husband, Jim, outdid himself again in the theme decorations, making a wonderful pink caddy for our kitchen and a FABULOUS soda that was ceiling high complete with a cherry on top!

The balloons were prizes that we popped to find all kinds of neat things inside too.
What a great crop!  Congrats to all who worked so hard to make it so much fun for our big crowd.  We all had a ball.

Last night was a great way to wind down too.  First we went to the Fish restaurant down there that we love and had sumptious dinners and then we went back to Barb's house for our slumber party and to play "quarters"! Jules is doing her impersonation of an old lady here and had us in stitches!  We all planned our future home where we'll all live together and the "young-uns" can take care of us...God forbid, can you imagine?!!

Jules and I stopped at Home Goods and AC Moore and then had a nice lunch before hitting the highway to get home.  I just got up from a nice nap now and am certainly enjoying the fact that I'm on vacation and not rushing to get ready for work.  I'm going to LOVE retirement!

Good Morning...

We all just got up and are enjoying a beautiful day here down in Ft. Myers.  Looks to be another sunny day.  Jules and I will take off in a couple hours to go home. 

I've sure had a wonderful beginning to my Spring Break!

Late...

It's 10pm and I'm still down in Ft. Myers, staying with Barb. Jules, Jill, Susie and Jayne are here too, we're having another slumber party!  I decided to stay over one more night when Teri said she didn't mind driving back alone as she wanted to get home early as she has a big day tomorrow. 

The crop was a blast and KNK outdid themselves again, along with Janet, the owner of Scrapbooks ETC.  Great prizes, food, tons of laughter, great make N takes and I got a cool 7 Gypsies mini album done.  We got the coolest box with a mini album in it too which I still have to put together.

It actually rained a bit down here today but tonight it's nice outside with a breeze and we've been sitting outside on the patio playing LRC, a fun die game.  I won $15.00!!  Offsets, just a tiny bit, what I spent for the weekend!

I took tons of pics which I'll put up tomorrow when I get home as I'm driving with Jules.

I'm ready to hit the sack so check in tomorrow!

Sunday morning

Wow, just got up...we didn't go to bed until about 2:30 and so I just got up!  Teri got up earlier and even took a shower and Jayne and I didn't even hear her or Susie.  Now Sue and J are trying to deflate a big blow up bed that won't go down!  We'll be headed back to the crop in a bit and then Teri and I will head back to St Pete as she has a early day tomorrow with clinicals.  I, however, am on SPRING BREAK!!! 

Last night was a hoot...I have plenty of pictures!!

Good Morning!

Reporting in from Hampton Inn, Bonita Springs, Florida!  Having a wonderful time.  Jayne, Susie, Teri and I are sharing a very nice room here.  Jayne and Teri are on the floor in blow ups and Susie and I, being a tad older, are in these wonderful, comfy beds...age has it's benefits!  We're on the first floor, right near the breakfast bar which is nice and they have wireless.

We got in around 6:30 last night, checked into the hotel and then headed to the crop which is right down the road. 
As Usualy, Gerri Anne and her team outdid themselves with the Sock Hop decorations...I'll take plenty of pics today.  They had meatball subs for us last night which were yummy and we played this "50's" game and I won two prizes!!  I'm working on this 7 gypsies album.  We also got the cutest album to put together made from old records!  Can't wait to do that.

Okay, gotta run.....

Friday and all is well with the world...or my world...

I'm on Spring Break and I'm waiting for Teri to pick me up for the crop and off we go.  I should be able to check in this weekend as a couple of girls will have laptops.

Thursday eve, thank God...

That means one more day at work and then I come home and Teri will be here waiting to wisk me away to the crop!!  Tonight I have to finish packing up my scrap stuff and putting together a go-away bag for the hotel since we'll be gone until Sunday.

Looking forward to being with my peeps all weekend and scrapping away, laughing and having fun like we always do.  Wish you could join us!

Today was so damn long at school plus I was coughing up a storm but at least it's loosening up the crap in my chest.  Go away completely cold please.  Today was the last day the meds work supposedly.

Woody thought he had a good bite on his RV but it fell through but he got another bite today so keep your fingers crossed.  He says he'll be gone in a week but we'll see.

Gotta run...things to do...

Same old...

same old...so tired in the morning...now if I can sleep in until about 7:30, I'm fine but this 5:30 business is for the birds...two more days of work...off I go..hi ho, hi ho...

Home again....

Fun day at work today with the luncheon!  Man, did we have food!  I put together a collage of some of it to show you.. as you can see, the theme was Mardi Gras and we had some yummy food!!  We had so much again so we'll have it again tomorrow.  There were all kinds of beans and rice and gumbo and shrimp galore!  The big P even made homemade "friendship" bread for it.  And once again, the little P, the woman in purple, outdid herself decorating the room for all of us.  She kept it a secret until we went in and she had hats, masks and beads for everyone.  She's something else.  Let me see if I can find the pic of the shrimp as it was out of this world.  Several people went in on it and Sue did the cajun. cooking.  

Now we just have TWO MORE DAYS until Spring Break!!!  And TWO MORE DAYS until the fabulous KNK Sock Hop Crop!!  Can't wait!
