Eve before Friday...

yay, yay.  We love Fridays and it's coming soon!  I just got back from getting a pedicure.  She went easy on my one foot for me and it was no problem.  It feels better today after taking the inflamatory pills the Dr. gave me.  Here's New York Red, my fave...

I am ready to get off my feet by the time I get home though.  Hopefully, in a couple more days, this will be all gone and I'll be back to normal.

When it rains, it pours, but the good kind for Woody.  He's had 3 calls on the RV today and met up with two of the callers.  And he's had an offer to rent his house in Arizona for a nice price that he's considering.  He could end up house and RV free..then what? LOL

This weekend is National Scrapbooking day and RubanRouge is having annice day planned with lunch and dinner.  I was hoping to go but decided not to due to the foot plus I don't need to be sitting in a chair all day right now.  I will miss it though.

Instead, I'm going over to Barbara's for a visit which is long overdue.  She is feeling much better!!  I got this pic of Barb and John at Easter in the park and you can see how well she looks...

Woody is cooking grilled chicken tonight in keeping with my diet plan..I do love chicken so that's a good thing...and broccoli, another fave....I'm going to be svelte before you know it...yeah.  seriously.  I'm just saying.

Slow, sleepy day...

not much happening here. I ended up not going into work as my foot was so swollen so I got into the Dr. this morning.  I've managed to bruise some tendons somehow.  Need to keep it up and when I walk, where supportive shoes...guess that leaves out sandals.
I also received the word that I had gained 22 lbs from last year!!!!  That's a lotta weight and I need to get it off.  Hard to do when you can't exercise....but diet for sure....

I just read where they're now closing some US schools due to the swine flu....it hasn't hit Florida yet but it's just a matter of time with all the cruise ships we have....they have stopped on certain cruise lines, going to Mexico.  Poor Mexican economy didn't need this, that's for sure.

Love my new refrigerator, did I mention that?  Okay, back off the foot.

It's hump day

again.....Woody just read where pork futures are way down....if you like pork, now's the time to buy, lol.  Do you wonder if they're going overboard on this whole Swine Flu thing?  No US case resulted in death, just the flu....makes you wonder...

Regular work day today, more classes but no lunch duty, yay.  I have someone doing my morning duty this week due to my bum foot.  I'll do their's later.

Who got kicked off of biggest loser?  American idol- I don't care as I haven't been watching it....

Gotta run...shower is calling me.

Yes,my first cup of ice from my new refrigerator!!  The pic was taken courtesy of my phone..not a bad photo either.  The G1 phone is so cool.

Very busy day at work with classes, scanning, and duty but the day flew by which was good.  My foot was feeling a bit better but is now all swollen again....wierd..just my right foot..need to get it up and get off this computer.

Woody made a nice roast in the crock pot and it tasted great tonight. 
The house refinancing is coming along too which is good.

That's about it for around here today-pretty mellow day.  Not bad.  In fact, good.

Good Morning

I'm feeling much better today though my foot is still bothering me.  At least I'm not dead tired like yesterday.
What did I do first thing this morning?  I checked my ice cubes, lol!  Full pail of them, yayyyyyyyyyyyyy!!  I'll have ice for the summer- so excited....

Yes, I'm looking at my new, ice producing, refrigerator and LOVE IT!!  Woody had it all fixed up by the time I got home and it looks so nice.  I especially like the way I can see everything when I open it up, no hidden corners.  Fun.

I had the best time with the former high school friends last night at Midge's...here's a pic of Midge and Patricia.  It shows Midge's beautiful deck overlooking the little lake..it's so peaceful out there...There was a georgous breeze last night too and we sat

on her screened porch and talked and talked and laughed and laughed.  We are starting ahead of time, thinking about our "social security" reunion which comes up in two years!!  Hard to believe we're that old, lol!  It was a great group of girls last night and we all really hit it off again.  Time changes nothing sometimes.

My right foot is killing me.  I have no idea what I did to it but I stepped on something I think and it bruised my arch..had a lot of problem walking today.

Barb is home from the hospital thank goodness too!!

Okay, off to eat spaghetti.  Have to enjoy these last few dinners as Woody takes off soon!

Soooo tired...

My cleaning lady messed with my clock and the alarm went off at midnight...too tired to reset it so I set my phone alarm...woke up, looked at the clock, forgetting it was wrong, and got up and took dogs out and then realized it was 4am!!  Back to bed for an hour..needless to say, I'm tired this morning.

Busy week, classes with 5th graders and the dreaded morning duty....ick....off I go!

Swine flu?

Man, this stuff is scary!  It's spreading like hotcakes...must be decimating the cruise industry as all the boats out of Tampa, go to Mexico.  Glad when we went there, there wasn't a problem.  Mexico has sure had its' share of problems lately.

I drank two iced teas at dinner last night and so was up and down til 3am!  That'll teach me.  At leaset I got to try out the new grapes crop in Farmtown (facebook game) as they harvest in 4 hours!

We had a really nice time with Jules and Gene last night.  We ate at Paul's Shrimp house and Woody had a huge platter of octopus, his fave.  I had fried shrimp, Jules had shrimp scampi and I think Gene had a platter like Woody's.  I had a queasy stomach for some reason so we headed home after dinner.  Got to put Flo's top down as the night was so nice but glad to get home to AC as it got muggy.

Today I'm off to see Barb who's suppose to come home today.  Also need to clean out my refrigerator to get ready for the new one tomorrow.  My high school friend, Patricia, is picking me up for a reunion dinner at Midge's tonight which should be fun but that means no kaboodling for me tonight at KNK.

Ice Baby!!

I can't tell you how many years I've gone with a broken ice maker...over 10 easy.  It broke right after the refrigerator's warranty was up and when we had someone look at it, they said we might as well buy a new one for what it would cost to fix it.  So that was the end of the ice era.  The refrig. itself still runs fine but that has bugged me forever.  Woody had been checking out this used appliance place that has a really good reputation and he saw one he thought I'd like the other day.  So we went by today, after my meeting, to check it out.  I have a side by side now and hate it.  The freezer is way too little and you can't even put a frozen pizza box in it as it would be too wide.  So I decided I wanted to go with the bottom freezer.  It would be big enough plus the whole top would be the regular refrigerator and I wouldn't have to bend so much, cuz god forbid, I should bend, right?  (Kip- why did you have the flash on for the pic?  I dunno....)

The one Woody saw was sold.  This man sells about 200 used refrig's and stoves a week so they come in and out very fast.  What I found was a Sears kenmoore elite, in black, that I loved.  It had just come in so he hadn't had time to even clean it yet which he was getting ready to do.  The previous owner had purchased all new basket pieces for the freezer as it had some rust, so all the new pieces would come with it plus a two year warranty.  It's easily over a $1500 piece of appliance.  I got it for a very good price and it will be delivered on Monday. He was asking $545 but I got it for $475. Can't wait!  Here it is...remember, he hadn't even cleaned it yet but you can see how spacious it is.

This is the top part, two doors open.  It has filtered water in it too but not on the door which was fine with me.  The bottom drawer is rather unique and opens way out.

It also has the 5 gallon container in the door which is nice. 
The last time I got a refrigerator and stove, Woody and his mom picked it out as I didn't really care what they brought home.  But glad I was there this time to get this.  So POOL GIRLS- ice is here finally!!

Up earlyish...

for a Saturday as I have a 9am meeting with St Pete College regarding the College for Kids program.  Just a formality, have to sign the papers, etc. 
I think Woody is going with me as we're stopping by a place after so I can look at a new refrigerator as mine is old.  It still works but I haven't had an ice machine for at least 10 years for one thing and I'm tired of having to buy ice.  Plus, it's just time for a new one.

Tonight, we're meeting Jules and Gene for drinks at their house and then going to dinner in Tarpon, so looking forward to that.

Please keep Barbara in your thoughts today too as she's back in the hospital with a kidney infection.  I was set to go see her yesterday but she had a high fever and upset stomach so she told me not to come.  I sure hope she feels better today.

Off I go!
