I usually always have a good time when I'm with the girls on a scrap weekend and this was no different, in fact, it was super fun! I like it when Linda can crop with us instead of having to do all the work. This weekend it was Janet and Colleen who worked their butts off to make sure we had a no hassles weekend and it worked!! Just a lot of gabbing, laughing big time, and just enjoying being with each other. Absolutely no drama whatsoever either. Everyone was smiling and just enjoying themselves. The food was yummy, the make N takes fabulous, the venue wonderful and the hotel rooms so nice and so reasonably priced. We'll all be heading back down in October!
I put up a slew of photos on facebook this weekend so you probably saw them but I'll put up some more here too.
Yes, we were even served virgin (or otherwise) marguerita's and pina colada's to go with the luau theme. Our tables all had these cute centerpieces on them and we each got an adorable box with a cute cupcake inside plus all kinds of neat goodies to scrap with! Linda actually did several Layouts!!! I got quite a bit done but all my stuff is on facebook. Teresa made some outstanding cards too and finished her husband's career album which came out great.
We made the most adorable make n take card...
plus these cool wooden boxes which we distressed/embossed/ and decorated with tattered Angels embellishments galore which we also painted, etc....
Janet had these cool new bare albums and I bought one, ripped off the front to show the corrugated and made this using stuff from the crop. I even made a yoyo flower from one of the paper napkins! Janet asked me if I could leave it in her shop for awhile to show what you can do with the albums too!
Sunday, packing up was funny...here's our scrap stuff getting ready to go back out to the car...
LInda's the Queen packer and got all 4 of us with all of our stuff, packed into her car!
So off we went Sunday afternoon late, to head 2 hours north to go home. Well Ginni had much further to drive by herself once she got to Linda's house.
Have to have my Skyway bridge shot going home...
We'll all be back down there at the beginning of October for another fun time! Already looking forward to it but first we have the FAMOUS Hilltop Fried Green Tomato Crop in Sebring in two weeks- can't wait!!
